1. Make sure is a local contractor and you can verify their office address... verify this companies that will remove your tree aren't "Here today and Gone Tomorrow". To the verified the quality of a job you need to be able to also reach them and when need it.... Many times you can see customers giving money to people up front who never come back tomorrow to do the job.
2. Make sure they aren't Landscapers... I know many times we trying to save some money specially when more than just a tree felt down on your property but you may not be saving money, this can turn into a dangerous result. Landscaping companies don't have the insurance to cover an accident while removing a tree because they aren't licensed for it, they can only do debris clean up. There are so many ways this combination can go wrong in so many ways from a tree being removed in a bad way causing more damage to your property to someone getting injured because they didn't have the experience of a tree removal expert so be careful and its better to be safe.
